Molecular and Cellular Physiology (MCP) is one of 14 Stanford departments participating in the Stanford Biosciences Admission Program.  This program provides graduate students the best of all worlds, placing them into a home program, like MCP, while giving them access to all of Stanford biosciences departments and more than 350 associated faculty and labs.

Understanding Cell Signalling is a unifying theme in The Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology (MCP). Our PhD program engages graduate students in research across multiple disciplines- including structural biology, biophysics, cell biology, and neuroscience in a highly collaborative environment. Trainees come to us from all over to experience working with Stanford's world-class leaders in academic research and utilize facilities that define tomorrow's "state-of-the-art" in countless disciplines. In MCP, our postdoctoral fellows have a strong track record of defining their research paths, earning early career fellowships from the NIH, Damon Runyon, Helen Hay Whitney and other foundations.
