Chris Garcia

Dr. Chris Garcia is a Professor of Molecular and Cellular Physiology and Structural Biology at Stanford University. He is a member of several prestigious institutions, including Bio-X, the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health Center for IBD and Celiac Disease, the Stanford Cancer Institute, and the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute. Additionally, he serves as an Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute since 2005.His research focuses on the structural biology of cell signaling and the mechanisms of immune recognition, particularly how proteins interact to mediate these processes. Dr. Garcia has received numerous accolades for his work, including the NIH Director's Pioneer Award and the Klingenstein-Simons Fellowship, recognizing his innovative contributions to the field. His studies aim to elucidate the molecular underpinnings of immune responses and develop therapeutic strategies for diseases, making significant strides in understanding the complexities of cellular communication and its implications for health.
